Judith Lewis, best known by her pen name Cassandra Clare, is a multi- awarded American author of young adult fiction.
Born on July 27, 1973 in Tehran, Iran,she had spent her childhood travelling the countries: Switzerland, England and France before finally setting foot America for high school.
She is also friends with Holly Black, whom is also a young adult fiction writer. The children’s fantasy series “The Magisterium” is their first and most popular collaboration.
Cassandra Clare is best known for the bestselling series “The Mortal Instruments” which consists of six books. The urban fantasy/ paranormal romance series is about Clarissa “Clary” Fairchild, who is a human with angelic qualities.
Her first book in the Mortal Instruments series, City of Bones was made into a film in 2013 and a TV adaptation was also made in 2016 called “Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments” and it aired for two seasons.
